I moved the Walshes down to the basement for the first time yesterday, and boy do they ever sound good down there. I have 'em hooked up to the MX-600 at 135/ch into 8 ohms, I know, neither of these is 8 ohms, I THINK. Aren't the ADS 6, and the Ohms 6? If so, and whatever the accurate specs are, can my Yamaha safely drive all four at once, and loud?

The Ohms and EPI 100s traded places, the EPIs are upstairs now. Big difference upstairs, the EPIs can't hold a candle to the Ohms, nor would you expect them to.

The Ohms and ADSs make an interesting combo. Yes I'd pick the ADS in a hurry if I had to choose, but the Ohms sound freaking great down there.

Don't think I would trust it to last long. My 4s are power hogs and I would imagine the 2s are as well.

They sure sound good though don't they?

I used to drive my ba 400's with a yammie mx600. The 400's are 4ohm and dip lower than that quite often I'm told. I drove them pretty loud and the mx600 never really got beyond operating temperture. Never tried driving 4 speakers with that amp. Maybe try seeing if the speaker switch is wired up in series or in parellell. The manual is available free from Yamaha. If the switches are wired in series you'll be good to go. Nice little amp the mx600; I can never seem to part with mine.
