My wife and I will be travelling from Saskatchewan to Texas in April. We have no particular agenda so we'll stop when we feel like stopping and go when we feel like going...

Looks like the Google Maps planner is taking us through some major cities ( Minot - Fargo?! ) like Omaha, Kansas City, Wichita, Tulsa, Dallas Fort Worth and Austin and then Albuquerque and Denver on the way home.

Any suggestions as to where a poor Canuck audiofool would stop to look for vintage goodies in any of those places?

I appreciate any suggestions - even if the wife probably won't!!

Thanks

Nothing on your primary question but you might want to be really sure of how Canadian customs is going to react if you show up with a bunch of stuff to bring home. Probably no problem at all but better not to be surprised.

If you cruise CL a bit in the locations where you are headed you will see if there is much gear offered...if its on Cl it will be in thrifts and elsewhere ... I note there there seems to be some nice stuff floating around in Arizona.....

I'll make a list and you can drop by Vancouver, give me my stuff and pick up your cash...beer or wine is on me!!

Enjoy your trip....!!

DFW is huge! Check online classifieds and public announcements for estate sales, you just NEVER know.

In the Dallas, Ft Worth area try "Traders Village" in Grand Prairie, next to Arlington- especially if is on a Saturday or Sunday. There are many acres of things to muse over!!! Some of it is tented, some not from the heat. Several shops with vintage electronics and lots of individual tables to haggle over item and $$ with. It is a great way to kill a day. Oh ya, plennty of food, beer, etc too. The local CL is good to peruse through as well

No clue, but try to look up Salvation Armies and Goodwills on Google Earth.
