Just hooked up a new (to me) USB DAC in my office system- a DIYEDEN SVDAC04-U.
First impression is that FLACs played through this unit sound at least as good as either of the CDPs I currently have hooked up in this system, which is:
Shipping damaged but working Sansui B-2102 amp
Yamaha C-4 pre
Yamaha NS-30T speakers
CDPs: Toshiba SD-3990, Denon DCD-1560
But I am having issues with static when I touch the volume control on the C-4. Even the slightest bit of static causes the music stream to stop. I then have to reboot the DAC (turn it off then back on) and restart the audio file.
Any suggestions on how to remedy this situation?
