In preparation of installing a MC402 and a MC 501, I am having an electrician put in two twenty amp power receptacles... I was looking around and see that there are PS Audio Power Ports and WATTGATE 381 wall receptacles. Anyone have any experience in using such audio power upgrades? :scratch2:

I think MasterLu uses the PS Audio Power Ports. He said they grip really tight!
I'm also thinking of upgrading receptacles. The one I'm looking at is the by Furutech (model number PF-15A(G)-N1).

Yep, I installed a dedicated circuit for my system and I bought the PS Audio wall socket. Very tight indeed, works like a charm.

I Just installed (well my electrician did) 2 dedicated 20 amp lines and went with the PS audio sockets as well. My electrician was amused that I spent so much money on sockets.....Hope he doesnt upcharge me more for his work!!

Funny...I was thinking the same thing. Especially when I request an upgrade from the standard home install wire?

While looking @ getting receptacles, I am wondering about better wire than the standard ROMEX wire? My electrician did not have a clue about an upgrade in wire?
I have seen Cardas Audio 3x10AWG In-Wall Power Cord ,$12 a foot?:scratch2:

I have a PS audio wall outline for my system. Nice strong connection. Worth the 50 bucks i think. Also Shunyata research also makes a nice Hubble modified outlet as well.
