I need to repair a Teac A-6300 that needs a new Output volume VR. Part # 5053709000 is NLA from Teac.
Anyone have a spare available? It's 100K ohm. Alps # AX2 (most dual pots have this marking) 88 E.
Anyone know where I can source this?

I don't know about an exact replacement. But the last time I checked parts express, they were selling the 100k "blue velvet" Alps pots.

I tryed one from the A-4300. Fits well. The differene is the 6300's is a bit narrower around the base. Anout the diameter of a dime. The diameter from 4300 is about the size of a quarter.
I'll solder it up over the weekend and see how it goes.
Russ, if the one from the 4300 does't work out, would you be willing to sell the one you have from the 6300?

Well, tryed the pot from the 4300. No go. The wires are too short to solder to the older (from 4300) pot. The solder tabs are in different positions.
Need the original 100K ohm pot from the 6300.
The attached photos indicate that the wiper area is smaller than the diameter of a dime.

Fellow AK member Russ1965 came through. He shipped the correct VR for the output control at no charge. The 6300 will be up and running over the weekend.
Thanks a million Bob. Owe you one.:thmbsp:
