I told my friends at work that this was coming.

I'm going to try to snap up some HD-DVD's at "fire sale" prices myself... even though I don't have an HD player yet. I'll grab one of those off the auction places in a couple of months from somebody making the move to Blu-Ray :thmbsp: Wait a second... XBOX 360 IS an HD-DVD player :banana:

Hmmm I am new to all this but I think the XBOX is a BLU-RAY player. Have no idea if it also plays HD-DVDs. Have noticed folks getting the XBOX to do double duty... Gaming and Blu-Ray DVDs... I will be looking out for more "fire" sale prices on the HD-DVDs :)

You need an add-on for XBox to play HD DVDs. It will not play Blu-ray. You are thinking of PS3 which come with a Bluray drive.

Hmmm Good to know. I am not a gamer:) Knew that one of them played Blu-Ray. If the add-on is cheap may be a good way, but with the price of Toshiba HD players falling every few days one should be able to get a good one cheap. HD-A3 at $83.00 and the A-30 at $133.00 At Amazon. Great upconverting player also.
