I am having a problem with the rewind portion of my RtoR. Fast forward and forward play is fine. Motor will not rewind however. Brake seams to be releasing when I activate the rewind switch but the rewind motor will not turn. The forward motor will rewind very slowly causing the tape to unwind from the reel but the take up motor will not come on. I cleaned all the switches with deoxit but no change.

Check your phasing capacitors.

Check the relay(s) to the motor as well as Freds suggestion. Measure the voltage to that motor too.
