I have a somewhat rc related question.
I know some rc vehicles have lights that you can turn on and turn off. How do you do this remotely?

I am curious what it takes transmitter and receiver wise to do this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Its cake man just get a 3 way pistol and 3 way receiver compatible with your pistol and use the reverse switch as your on off switch, connect the wires so that revers would be on and drive would be off.

No idea on that one.

I used to race 1/10th off-road, Team Associated RC-10T3 and B3, and dirt oval with a modified RC-10B2.

Just use a unused channel to run a servo that controls the light switch. Or am I missing something?

I used to have planes and boats. The boats were strictly 2 channel. The planes had 6 channel radios, only 4 were used for flight controls. The 2 extra channels were controlled by toggle switches used for retractable gear, bomb drops, whatever. They were "digital" ie on or off. I'd have to assume you'd need an "extra" channel as well.

This isnt for an RC car or plane so using an existing radio wont work. I just wanst sure there are little transmitters and receivers that were used.

What does the inside of the vehicle look like electronically? Receiver, transmitter, controller

Just wondering how all this stuff works.

I am working on a personal project and just need to close a momentary switch remotely. And its all battery powered.

The old standby was (is?) tower hobbies. Not the cheapest by any means, but they have it all. Its free to look!
