Other than the NEAR and the YAQIN, you're outside my limited knowledge base, son. Have fun, regardless. Looking good, too.

I'm listening to them now. Very freakin' cool speakers...these will be the new main rig speakers...
as far as the TSC's ...your guess is as good as mine. I haven't listened to them yet. I will before the nights out though...

Well as a beginning this is a very simple piece of gear....No tone controls, no balance, accommodates only one pair of speakers & is remote controlled but only for volume and switching control functions....
Plug and play, 90-95 wpc @ 8 ohms power amp section, uses 4 each 12AU7 tubes in the preamp section. The build quality is excellent as it weighs in at over 25 pounds, has a heavy gauge brushed aluminium chassis. The Volume pot is stepped, the remote is heavy and aluminum as well. This is simply a purist designed integrated offering the benefits of SS power output with the tubed finishing touches from the preamp.....
I think that it sounds amazing....

Quite a lot actually....I just ordered some NOS tubes for the preamp section. They are supposed to offer a pretty big jump in performance...I'll let you know.

I assume you are talking about the Bada integrated here?
I'm curious about this amp. Not many (any) user reports/comparisons that I could find.
Looks like it has two sets of binding posts. Does yours only have one??
Wonder how it compares to a Jolida 1501?
(That 6moons review seemed like it was mostly for the $5K modded unit, BTW - especially the part about beating those high-end amps. It's not very clear but I'm assuming that was for the modded version. It did mention the high quality parts and construction of the stock one though).

I am....
one set of binding post...
Regarding the Jolida I would not know...this is my first hybrid. That said, I am in love with this amp.. I was looking at Jolida and several others, this one sort of fell into my lap.
For what I paid for this baby used this is to date my best amp purchase.

Bill,
What do you think of the Entech's sound compared to the Adcom you used to run?
Oh- by the way- freakin' awesome new kit you have there. Love both pair of speakers, the amp... well... I gotta say, I love everything!

Hi Paul...
Love the Entech....it's a little less "warm" that the Adcom but adds plenty of detail and "up's the diddy" on the midrange which is always a good thing.
Regarding the gear, thanks man....I have been dying to try some of the newer and different offerings that seem to be readily available nowadays....
All in all this has been a pretty large jump in fidelity.....

The Entech seemed to be the warmest of my DACs, so if the Adcom is warmer, it may be just what I needed to tame an occasional harshness in my main system. This is good news. I'd sacrifice a bit of resolution to reduce the harshness I've been getting.
As for the more modern gear, indeed it's fun to dabble. My main system features many mid 80's to late 90's pieces as of late. I'll fill you in on 'em once I land that last piece I'm looking at...

Did you ever setup the TSC's? You know these speakers originally came with humongous base units; did yours include the base units? How was the sound.

Hi, I have run the TSC's form time to time and they do sound very good. Regarding the bass boxes I actually scored a set of them locally a while back. They had crazy bass, to much for my small apartment. They reside with HomerJSimpson nowadays. The ones pictured are stand alone units and are crossed over differently. Really cool/different speakers.

I have seen the NEAR's for cheap on the bay as well and cannot comment on that model. The 15 M's are fairly rare and out of production as are all NEAR products but are worth every penny. So far they are the best small monitor I have owned.
