Having second thoughts due to not much experience in vinyl.....

I currently have a Rolls VP29, becuase that's all I could afford at the time. Wondering if I should impulse buy (auction) a Rotel RQ-970BX. It ends soon and I know this is just desparation, but what the hell. Anyone think this would make a difference on a Dual 1246 with a Grado Blue?
