I had a pair of those once. Good sound with beautiful cabinets. Fair price but no score.

I saw them too. really cool looking, may be good for a party room or something like that. my house is too small, and don't know how they sound. Marble tops, that is cool.

These look nice. Many seem really beat up and unusual as they'd be living room furniture. At $290, probably $225-250 is what the owner is trying to get, provided the drivers are working, I'd go for them. Think of them with nice Empire 298 with a sweet Marantz 2230 (champagne faceplate) dressed in matching wood.

I have the champagne faced 2230 w/ wood case but I need another set of speakers like I need a hole in my head.

You can always surprise your wife and show her how much you love her by giving her a pair of new end tables and surprise, surprise, you discover the binding posts :).

I wish I had more room for some end tables. There is just way to much stuff in the house.
