Hello,

I know that NAD is a respectable "mid-fi" brand (I'd choose it over BPC anyday without hesitation), but don't know about their original MSRPs or used value.

Anyone out there know what this model might sell for in today's used market? :scratch2:

A co-worker has one that belonged to his parents who haven't used it for a few years. He has the original remote control for it. Recently he heard me talking about vintage audio and asked for advice on what to do with this unit.

I couldn't find much information online except this model puts out a solid 50 watts per side and came with a remote control (rather rare feature at the time).

Just wondering if this is a $25 CL item or a potential $100+ Eprey item.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Peter,

It falls into the latter category. Check ebay for recent finished auctions.

As tc says, the NAD 7100 is a somewhat sought-after receiver. Here are a couple of recent ones that went for about $200 on the Bay.

A 7100 with its remote, and clean, should do better than $200.

Could be BT. The 1st one I linked looks nice and has its remote and went for $201.50. The second, also in nice condition but without the remote, went for $200 flat. Perhaps now isn't a great time to be selling on the Bay, those are just the only recent sales I could find.

Thanks for all your quick replies. I don't know why I hadn't tried a better search on that auction site to get some info.

I've passed on this data to my co-worker. We'll see if he decides to auction it off.
