How could it put out so much power and only weigh 5lbs?

That's interesting. The PSU would be a pulse power type which would lighten it up considerably.

IMHO, it needs more wood and silver knobs.

It's a Class-D bass amp with a switching power supply. I owned the first version which was 300W into 2 ohms. Size of a cigar box and weighd 5 lbs. It had a nice warm sound, but threw out EMI/RFI like crazy!

Good stuff, it looked like a quality unit, just seemed so light.

Did it interfere with cell phone signals with all that EMI/RFI?

Dunno about cell phones, but it messed with the wireless mike systems and would obliterate FM and CD players in the house. Ferrite chokes on the AC and audio cables helped tame it somewhat. Hopefully, they addressed that issue with the newer versions.

Could you put it in a copper shielded box or is it not worth the hassle?

With the over-the-shoulder travel bag, I thought it was a car amp that you could pull out and take with you to keep from getting stolen.

With all that EMI/RFI, think of all the fun you could have driving around the neighborhood making everyone's home gear go crazy...
