DVD player hangs when powering up

Hi my DVD player hangs when powering up, turning the unit off does not work. I would need to unplugged the unit and plugged again, then it would work fine. This happens only when a CD is inside the player..

any ideas what could be wrong ?

This happens only when a CD is inside the player..

Don't leave a CD in the player when you power it down. Problem solved.:D

It could be designed to be looking for a software/update disc on startup.:yes:
