Any one familiar with this older Demagentizer? Its a Teac E-1 head demagnetizer. Looks like the little horseshoe style. I have one that was included with the 3300S. On the instructions It mentions an alarm? When I plug this one in, I dont hear any sort of alarm or buzzer. Is it that way or is this one shot? I can feel it buzzing like when ya press the button. Any info is appreciated. :)

I've had a E-1 for 34 years, bought brand new, and never heard no Alarm with mine, and strongly doubt that any of them do.

Usually, I believe most demaggers have a certain time allowed to do thier thing. Follow instructions closely, when done with the demagging, which I usually do from left, to right, draw the demagger very slowly away from the Deck, get it a good 2 ft away from the machine before you shut it off, otherwise all your work will be in vain. Hope this helps, Mark

Thanks Mark that was helpful :) I just did a check on it as I found a post that VintageTX states: Put a paper clip in front of it while its on. I can tell ya this, You can feel the paper clip start to buzz a bit. So I assume its in working order.
Now I can demag the Deck from left to right as you state. Just got some new RMGI LPR 35 and want to give it a test and see how she records and plays back. :thmbsp:
