I've had a pair for some time now. Class A operation equates to stunning mids and highs. Slight weakness down low. I'm going to use these for a biamp project soon.

Attack of the Sock Puppets or Return of the Living Dead?
:D
I've been using this pair for almost 5 years! Sweet vocal with good bass only when used with GE 6CA7 "fat boy" and biased at 1.4v. Individual tube biasing without the needs for matched pair. It's a WOW! When hook-up to my Altec 604-E of 101dB.
It also works well with my JBL L100 Century, and Yamaha NS1000.
Only drawback is the heat generated. Uses a small fan to cool it down.
Good Luck.

Finished the bi-amp on Altec 9844a's. I'm using a H/K Citation 12 for the low end....I'll never go back...............
