I went to 2 CES shows in the late 70's. Was 3/4 audio back then. There was even an IHF show in Atlanta, that was audio only. International Hi-Fedelity.

"Music is emotional, active, liberating, visceral, enlightening. Music weeds out the weaklings and exposes the truth. "
Right on, brother! :thmbsp:

I haven't been in a few years, but have a couple friends who were there this year and last. They had no trouble finding a bunch of audio, and I never have either.

Audio is emotive; video is narcotic.

"Audio is emotive; video is narcotic."
So very true! Not even a quality narcotic at that - more like Robitussin rather than Vicodin!
I can barely stand to watch broadcast TV anymore. Even cable is weak and most new movies are trash.
If I can't go out an shake my tosh to some raunchy blues or hear a Beethoven symphony live or even a folkie at a coffee shop, give me a clean vinyl record or a SACD!
Music enhances life; video kills it.

When windows looking into artificial reality eclipse the ones looking out to actual reality, that isn't good.
Oh hell yes!

Amen and pass the vinyl.

The author veers toward hyperbole to make his point. But you knew that.

Pretty ironic coming from a magazine that used to be just about audio, but had to add the video coverage and change its name to stay current. I miss Stereo Review!

Would that include the one you're looking at now?
