ok i have never heard a tube amp so i am in no place to judge.
but it looks cool, but for $999.00 with only 3 watts at 10%. THD i just don't get it. but the cool factor ends about 99.95 lol
I thought for best music reproduction you need to have as little distortion as possible. like THD of .04 or less. I JUST DON'T GET IT

Distortion just means "deviation from the original".
Bright sun in your eyes? Deal with it and suffer = no distortion.
Put on some Shanling MC-30 shades and hey - distortion? Yes. Better? Maybe!
OK, bad analogy.
All it means is that it's not a powerful amp. But it might sound really good on certain speakers that do well with a watt or two.
It's not meant to be the main rig for your next kegger. More for the sun room / lake house and a pair of La Scala's or any other reasonably sensitive loudspeakers.

I think it's an exceptionally cool little package; great way to taste SE tube amplification for the modern person...

I'm not really all that enthused either but for different reasons. I have amps that cost more and make less wpc and sound great...but I'm not into the molded metal/acrylic look...just NOT my thing. I'm more into wood with maybe some metal highlights or very simple chrome and black...but that's me and lots of folks obviously feel differently. The sound is more important than the looks and I don't know how it sounds but I don't trust specs one way or the other.

That's probably 10% at full tilt boogey, I'd imagine it's much less at normal listening levels. And you a cd transport, tuner, ipod dock, cigar lighter and floor mats!
uh-oh - distributed by Musichall... better never need parts
