I live in a very very humid enviroment should i look into a better way to store my records as i have heard humid is bad and cause mold etc. i was tthinking just a shelf that had a semi air tight seal and then like a dehumidizing substance lol

Desiccant/Silica Gel packets with the records stored in sealable plastic containers would be my choice.

Yea basements as well as attics are not good places to store vinyl or a lot of other things.

How about a dehumidifier?

isn't that what an air conditioner is?

Air conditioner's do dehumidify but there are times when you can have a lot of humidity in cold weather and an air conditioner is not what you want. I run a dehumidifier in my basement year round and it keeps the air nice and dry. :thmbsp:

Ace Hardware has heavy-duty plastic storage containers that look ideal for album and laserdisc storage.
