Compudeck problem's

I have several of those like the SD-6000 / SD-9000DBX and the SD-9020.

All have the same problem wich is when you push rewind / play etc that after 2 seconds the deck goes into stop mode.

I have read about the opto coupler wich should cause that problem??

Who has serious experience in this matter??

I had the Philips 5846 cassette deck, which is basically the same. The problem might be that one of the gog wheels broke down. This is a well known and serious problem since replacement wheels are not available. I sold my Philips 'cause I couldn't stand to see such a beautifull piece lying around doing nothing. When I get home I'll put on some pic's I made of my Philips.

Those decks are totaly different build and have no simularity what so ever.

Are you sure? I was told by someone who we both know (although he was kicked out of the forum we share ;) ) that they were basically the same, except for the speed changing capability. Oh well, live and learn.
