Hi Ozmoid,
Thank you for the welcome.
I listen to many types of music with a preference for Christian & Symphonic.
My stereo system is a Philips Maganavox 6 speaker mini hifi that cranks out a nice sound for the cinema effect. I placed a thread in the speaker forum asking help in finding some 6 ohm or any speakers that will work to replace the front speakers. If you can offer any suggestions, please do.
Back in the late 80s I owned a JVC system with the QL-A5 turntable
(Grado cartridge), R-S33 receiver, SK-303 speakers, & a Sharp RT-10 cassette deck. This was a great sounding system & I have some tapes with songs recorded from it that still sounds awesome.
I hope to upgrade to a nicer system someday soon & with some better front speakers if I can find some, I know this system will sound even better.
Take care,
Rome

Maganavox
I did not really associate that name with "HiFi", but a year or two ago I picked up some large floor-standers by Magnavox, that used ferro-fluid drivers. Very efficient, nicely balanced, bass down to just under 40 hz. I used them for quite a while as my mains, powered by a vintage Yamaha receiver.
If the small system is built to the same quality, I'd say you have some good sound there! :thmbsp:
Hi there Ozmoid,
Thank you for the kind words. Indeed, my system is not in the league with Carver, Dynaco, Adcom, Harman Kardon, & other Hi end audio equipment, but I have to tell you. The sound from my system thrills my friends & children when they watch a movie or listen to their tunes.
I have not received any replies in the stereo forum as of yet in finding some speakers that will replace the 40 watt 6 ohm speakers in my system.
I am hoping to get some info on any speakers that will replace them.
I would love to find a KEF, Klipsch, EPI, Canton, B&W or JBL speakers that will adapt to the 6 ohm load. I have been told that a 8 ohm speaker would work, but they would not stand by that decision. They said to try the Bose 301 Series V type. I also like the Bose 6.2 speakers, but unfortunately they are 4 ohm speakers :tears:.
If you can lend a hand in helping, it would be appreciated greatly.
Well take care & thanks again,
Rome :thmbsp:
