Been watching VH1 Classics a lot lately, and some REALLY COOL stuff...

Last night was all Janis Joplin..What a trippy chick... Tonight is Rod Stewert in the early 70's.. REALLY great tunes..

Have seen some great shows about Def Leppard, The Beatles, The Who, Led Zepplin and much much more...

Lots of stuff I never knew, and some (like Rod) I can appreciate a lot more now...

Just curious if anyone else watches and learns?

Cat Stevens now.. . Time to learn some more.. never knew much about him.. or listened to him beyond his popular stuff..

My wife and I watch all the time. It is the only channel we can really agree on. Some nights we stay up till 3-4 in the morning just watching videos like we were teenagers again.

DVR is full of VH1c.

See that awards show where ZZ top, Heart, Genesis get recognized?

Some really hot singer covered Barracuda with Nickleback (?) backing her up. That is my mostest favrit 3:30 of television, period. Unbelieveable.

I watch that at work on the weekends, along with my other favorites, the Speed channel, and Spike. Spike has a bunch of cool car and truck related shows on the weekend that I enjoy. I can only get VH1 Classic and Speed Channel at work, on the "Dish Network"... Only hi-jacked local cable available at home.

I do catch it when I can, VH1 Classic always brings me back to my youth. "Metal Mania" also has good stuff, Also the Classic LP show they do. The "Dark Side Of The Moon", History lesson was very cool.

During transcontinental flights aboard Jet Blue, yes.

I watch my daugter(5 months) on Sat mornings and we always have VH1 Classics on. They start w/ the video show "We are the 80's" which is nostalgic at best then right into "Metal Madness" which is all the "metal" video's from back in the day.

Fun to watch.

I've also seen several very cool concerts like Bon Scott era AC/DC, The Faces......

yes this is one of my favorite channels. Like Clmrt have many hours of videos from this channel saved on our dvr that way I can just pull them up anytime I want. Alot of the other longer shows about artist and other long video blocks I transfer to dvd so it doesn't take up all my hard drive. One that I still have saved and thought was real interesting was they were showing the making of Jimi Hendrix Electric Ladyland lot of cool things I learned on that one.

i never watched before, but over the weekend I caught U2's Rattle & Hum on VH1 classic. Great film, great album.

now i'll be checking to see what's on from time to time.
