Never heard of this company, but hey, it says it's a 300 wat tube amp, and that is good enough for me!

300 watts per channel tube amplifier in perfect working order.
Very clear, very smooth, yet very punchy. Of all the high end amps I've owned this is by far my favorite. Unfortunately I must sell due to a financial disaster. Pics cooming soon. CALL; Days 978-335-****, after 6 pm 978-373-****

It's a legendary amp, by the legendary Dr. Gizmo (Harvey Rosenberg), IIRC.

A little info....

The late, colorful, Harvey Rosenberg said in describing his Moscode 600 amplifier: "While sitting in front of your Moscode 600 watching those beautiful glowing tubes, you will be transformed over the fact that there is no tubby bass or muted soft high ends associated with a transformer coupled tube amplifiers. You will hear the most delicious mid-range. It will be as liquid as a mountain stream and when it comes to the percussion section, there will be no want for power. For those who value delicacy and need dynamic headroom, this amplifier will be the first high-powered tube amplifier that approaches the refinements of the Futterman circuit and has the ability to drive low impedance and/or inefficient speakers. One of the contributions to this amplifier's delicacy is the fact its most unique feature is that we used tube regulation on the high-voltage going to the input circuit. This type of regulation adds a sweet refinement to the natural musical harmonics that, at least to our ears, grants a musical vividness that is unique to New York Audio Laboratories products " Power output : 300 w/ch 8 ohms 500 w/ch 4 ohms Frequency Response: 20HZ to 60Hz +- .5db Semiconductors: 12 Mosfet Transistors in the output 14 diodes 2 FET current sources 2 IC's 5 Transistors Tubes: 3 - 6DJ8 2 - 6FQ7 2 - 6LU8

Wow, I guess I have to read up on some of the greats in the field! How have I not heard of this person, and his company before? Must be from hanging out in the cheap seats of the audio world!

Here is another blurb on George and NYAL

The moscode is a hybrid. The outputs are solid state. Calling it a tube amp sort of misrepresents the facts. Word of warning, repairs can be mighty expensive. it was designed by Juilius Futterman a designer of otl tube amps. I think Rosenberg was a promoter, investor.

If I could afford it, I'd snap that up.

Anyone wanna float me 8/10 of a grand for a few days? :)

Seriously, from what little I've heard its concept might be better than the amp itself.

I've worked on two of those before, mostly maintenance and a couple upgrades was all they needed. They sound AMAZING! The guy sold one of them not long after I finished repairing it, and if I would've had the extra available cash at the time, it would have been MINE!:tears:

They aren't the prettiest things you've ever seen, but when you hear it, you won't care! The photo below is, in fact, the very one I worked on. I nearly choked when I saw it upon eBay the week after I finished it, and downloaded the photo to show the owner of the shop!

Huh, looks like a Hafler DH500 with a tube front end.
