I got me Aeroplane ticket within inches of me right now I got me room reservation made I got me a room mate to split the room with. AND I almost got enough spending money to enjoy the FEST with wild abandon.

I'm flying out after work Friday sleeping on the redeye and not sleeping till I get back on the plane Sunday evening to be back home in time for work Monday morning.

I'm even flying a system of my own back there.

And I plan on having a blast.

I kinda have this graduation thing happening that weekend, or I probably would.

I was think it would make a great graduation present to myself, but I took the fam to Disneyland last week instead (early, but I'd really have to... you know, not to graduate at this point!)

I was. Then my two beautiful daughters came up with a surprise for me that week end. As an early birthday present they're taking me to The Police/Elvis Costello concert on Saturday. Yes there are plenty of rooms left just not at the fest hotel. We have arranged for the next nearest hotel to accommodate our guests at the rate of 99.00 per night. Please see the fest site www.akfest.com for info on booking a room. Thanks

You guys did a tremendous job advertising, inviting, promoting and welcoming!!! The photos from last year looked like it was a tremendous event and fun. Hey, sorry about that. I guess it seemed funny at the time (kind of like EchoWars' "Fest? What Fest?), but I guess I'd have to come out one year so all of you can meet me and get some of that "dry sarcasm" first hand.

Just think, it'll be a blast for all of you. Probably better than all the previous years, and all I'll be doing is watch my wife spend my gear money in London (two bucks for every pound she spends) :sigh:

Well now San Fran hmmmm. Silverton Oregon can't be to much closer and since I have already had to travel back and forth to the airport once already to fix tickets that the stupid airline screwed up by cancelling a flight. I might beat her.

Lets see already 100 miles then 50 miles to the airport and then to Vegas and on to Detroit and the FEST. hmmm might add up pretty good.

I would almost anything to be with you guys, but lack of funds and vacation time leaves me a little short. Where I work we have to schedule our vacation in December for the whole year. This happens on the same week-end every year, right? I will have to write it down so I can remember to ask for it in December. I will also start an AK Fest Fund so I can manage the air fare and room. Then y'all will have to put with Yungin' and I. We'll be with you in spirit, and checking in on the links here.
