I was think it would make a great graduation present to myself, but I took the fam to Disneyland last week instead (early, but I'd really have to... you know, not to graduate at this point!) bolly 03-28-2008, 05:38 AM yes  ARguy 03-28-2008, 07:28 AM This will be my second trip. piece-it pete 03-28-2008, 08:23 AM Hell yeah!! Pete Squidward 03-28-2008, 08:37 AM Hells yeah! Then my two beautiful daughters came up with a surprise for me that week end. As an early birthday present they're taking me to The Police/Elvis Costello concert on Saturday. They were'nt aware that I was planning something else for that week end and I kept quiet about it, not wanting to spoil their surprise. It's going to be fun. Grumpy has made arrangements for a shuttle service to another Hotel nearby, where rooms are still available. Check the AK Fest website for links and contact info, http://akfest.com. grumpy 03-29-2008, 09:27 AM Yes there are plenty of rooms left just not at the fest hotel. We have arranged for the next nearest hotel to accommodate our guests at the rate of 99.00 per night. Please see the fest site www.akfest.com for info on booking a room. Provided this poll represents a reasonably accurate sampling of AK's membership, of course! :D dread31 04-15-2008, 09:24 PM Wish I could, but the fest runs concurrently with maintenance shut down here at the plant. Dave Army 04-15-2008, 09:44 PM Wouldn't miss it! Only problem with vette's is vette owners. Kinda arrogant bunch, at least around here. I am familiar with Paducah, haven't been there since '97, though, when I worked for WFGE, 103.7. RayW 04-17-2008, 01:27 AM What part of KY do you hail from? Have some friends in Paducah, if you know it... Curious myself as I'll be kissing Kentucky as I come into Louisville on 64 and out on 71 (LOVE that spagetti junction). Ray EVGuy 04-20-2008, 11:24 PM I'll be there too, with my father. JHS2RT 04-21-2008, 12:17 AM I AM COUNTING THE DAYS ------- I live about 10 miles from this big event. Besides --I'm bringing something for one of our electronic masters to restore for me. You guys did a tremendous job advertising, inviting, promoting and welcoming!!! The photos from last year looked like it was a tremendous event and fun. Based on the plans you all made for this year, it should be even a greater event. Unfortunatelly I need be in London that weekend with my wife. So you all have a great time. Maybe next year... P.S. Silverton Oregon can't be to much closer and since I have already had to travel back and forth to the airport once already to fix tickets that the stupid airline screwed up by cancelling a flight. I might beat her. Lets see already 100 miles then 50 miles to the airport and then to Vegas and on to Detroit and the FEST. hmmm might add up pretty good. I will have to write it down so I can remember to ask for it in December. I will also start an AK Fest Fund so I can manage the air fare and room. Then y'all will have to put with Yungin' and I.
