Is this worth learning how to use one? It's local. I just want to play, and it's cheap!

Its always nice to have one but, like any measuring instrument, it will take some understanding of what it is telling you. Generally, the manuals will be written with the assumption that you already know how to use it.
One nice thing you can do with a scope is to hook it up to an FM tuner that has vertical and horizontal outputs to monitor multipath. This is similar functionality to the McIntosh Maximum Performance Indicators (MPI3 or 4).
Also, make sure it has a couple of 10:1 probes. Check eBay prices and you'll find you'll spend more than the asking price of the scope for the probes.
Cheers,
David

The one you are looking at is a single trace, I'm thinking and I could be completely wrong, but I would want at least a dual trace scope to be able to compare channels in a piece of audio equipment.
I just picked up a portable Tek 335 http://www.prolexdesign.com/images/tek335.jpg for cheap and it took me three days to get anything but a couple spots on the display. I found out how to get a trace in one of the manuals (not for this unit, unfortunately) I DLed that instructed how to do it.
Now I have lots of learning to do to be able to use the thing effectively.
