Picked up a pair of Yes tickets for their July show in Chicago yesterday. But what I'm really thrilled about is the King Crimson tix I purchased this AM for the August 7th show at the Park West. I've seen Yes a bunch of times and know I won't be disappointed . This however, is my first time to see King Crimson. :thmbsp:

Ed,

Any chance i could talk to in to purchasing a YES T-shirt when you go? Happy to send funds in advance including shipping.

Enjoy the shows. I saw Yes in the 70's and it was one of my favorite shows ever and I was fortunate enough to see many of the greats!

Here is a link to some info from the 1977 tour when I sam them at the Hampton Coliseum (Greatful Dead loved playing this venue). Tickets were $6.50!

And with four of us, we all made it to the Front Row.

Absolutely! Let's keep in touch as the day gets closer. FYI. I've picked up three different Yes t-shirts off of e-bay. Fragile, Relayer and Tales... Do a search under clothing.

Was fortunate enough to see them 3 times in the mid 70's. Got real close one time, but not the front row. Last time they were here was I think 3 years ago. Only one missing was Bruford. Alan White was on the drums that night.

Yes, Genesis, Floyd, Tull, Strawbs, Even Kansas, but not so much. Great bands to see in concert, big sound to make your chest vibrate and absolutely awesome stage shows. I was disappointed in Emerson Lake and Palmer though. However it was mostly Emerson that disappointed.

Say Ed--great news!

I had the pleasure to spend "An Evening with King Crimson" last time in the Landmark Theater in Syracuse, NY in 1982...2nd row center  It was the Elephant Talk era (Bruford, Belew, Levin & Fripp)...small theater and they were just stunning. Robert Fripp even pulled out a R2R machine for some Frippertronics.

Have a great time!

I got a copy of The Great Deciever from one of the local libraries a while back. It just blew me away. Funny thing about KC; I've only come to really appreciate them in the last 4 or 5 years. Progressive rock has always been my favorite genre but just never listened much to them. Always had their first and Starless and Bible Black. I've got just about all of their studio releases now.

Enjoy the show Ed.

Fripp will be in a dark corner. Usually seated next to his rack of frippertronics.

Last time I saw Yes, was actually the Anderson,
Bruford ,Wakeman,Howe tour and the last time I saw
KC was for the "Thrak" tour.
So far KC looks only to be in IL,PA & NY,
But I'll look forward to them coming out west,
Thanks for the heads up (Big Tony levin fan)
