Curious -- Original MSRP for KLH Model 17s?

As I was refinishing the cabinets on my recently acquired Model 17s (my second pair), I began to wonder what the original MSRP was for a pair. They are incredibly well-built, and sound amazing for a speaker their size and age.

Does anyone know? :scratch2:

Also, what would a comparable speaker be today in terms of popularity, quality and price?

they always have a lot of bang for the buck, beautiful to both the eyes and ears...
