Hello all!
It's damn nice to be here. I have enjoyed reading the posts for the last few days, and I look forward to learning and contributing.
I have been a fan of audio equipment and music for as long as I can remember. I am no expert, but do enjoy tinkering and have some technical skills. I intend to rework some vintage equipment in my posession and put together some fun systems to play with.
I have a pair of JBL 4410 Sudio Monitors that are currently under repair. The woofers need to have the surrounds replaced, as well as one dust cap. I may go through the crossovers as well. I will repair the grill frames by repairing the pins and replacing the cloth. Here is a picture of the L127H drivers, followed by a link to pictures of the other drivers:

I also have a pair of Crysler Ce-2 Loudspeakers. These babies sound great and are very efficient! However, the two tweeters in one cabinet do not have any output. I've done some preliminary trouble shooting and believe that the trouble is with the drivers; I can read a variable voltage (.5vdc<x<2.8vdc at normal listening levels) from the hi frequency output of the crossover network. I may have a lead on 4 replacement drivers and since these are so hard to find, I intend to pick them up (if made available) even if the problem is in the crossover.

Last weekend I answered an add in the local paper for a walnut stereo cabinet with speakers for $100. Thinking that I might use the cabinet as a TV stand, I called the number. I picked up a pair of Bozak 302 cabinets along with the stereo cabinet and some miscellaneous electronics (Sony receiver and tape deck, Pioneer tape deck).

I'm having alot of fun with these! I will certainly enjoy pairing them with the Chryslers for imaging.
My uncle donated his old Yamaha CR-1020 to drive the Bozaks. Hovever, the receiver also needs some updating. Currently, I am just using the preamp section to drive a Kenwood KM-X1000 connected to the Bosaks. In the future, I hope to drive the Bozaks and the Cryslers with the Yamaha. The Kenwood sounds awesome on the JBLs!
I have some other stuff kicking around in the home theatre realm, as well as two cool Gamepod 1.5 gaming chairs. They are great for hidef movie watching and for playing video games with my 12-year old on his Xbox 360.
I recently finished revamping a 1981 MIJ Squier Bullet. She's alot of fun to play, but I need to come up with a decent amp. I bought a small Randall SS Combo cheap at Guitar Center years ago on a clearance sale. The cabinet, speaker and reverb are all nice, but the amplifier is junk!

Anyway, that's a little about me and my gear. I will post pictures and descriptions of my progress on my various projects.
