The April SMAC was a great success. Thanks to those who were able to attend and to Jim Michalak for hosting.
About 15 members attended. Jim's system was a revelation. And I got to hear a couple of components I'd been wanting to hear for awhile.
We listened to the following:
Music Hall MMF5 TT w/ Goldring 1012 cart.
Bellari phono (as well as the Maple Tree phono section)
Maple Tree Audio Ultra 4a SE pre
Bottlehead Paramours II
Eastern Electric Integrated Amp
PSB 7PT speakers
He also had a home theatre setup, as well as a nice Marantz 2270 lit up and on display.
While I was there, no cds were played but Jim has a nice Ah Toejb Cd player.
It was cool to spin vinyl 100% of the time (a bunch of great jazz, etc. on LP) - although I did want to listen to that player. Next time...
Jim was a gracious host. Many thanks for having us over:thmbsp:

Bummer I couldn't make this gig, car troubles and to many other things got in the way!
Sounds like a great bunch of gear, I missed a good one I see!

Guys, glad to have a chance to host and the pleasure was all mine! I had a great time and appreciate all the comments ans suggestions. Enjoyed comparng the original LPs to the new remastered versions.
Darren, great LPs. Some obscure stuff, but great jazz none the less.
Tom, hope your dad is OK and thanks for the heads up on my VTA.
