Ahem ... I have a set of Tannoy Gold 12" (rubber mount surrounds) that are about to be sent off to Melbourne for refurb, due to polling and one of the HF drivers is not working, also new caps loaded into the crossovers, yep the full christmas wish list.
The current cabinets (vented chipboard boxes) are a write off due to damp where they were stored, doing some research I have found these .... http://melhuish.org/audio/DIYBX18.html and I've taken a liking to them, the McDonald brothers (in Canada I think) have done a great job and I was hoping if anyone here has used the design or plans or have met either the original McDonald brothers who designed them... long shot I know. hoping someone can help.
