Here's an auction that may be a diamond in the rough:
Fisher Console Auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2386753008&category=20488)
It looks to be a Fisher tube receiver in a Barzilay cabinet. It also mentions a Technics turntable, but I'd be real interested in what's inside those speaker cabs. If I wasn't several days away, I'd email him.
Could be a real find for someone a bit closer than me!
As always, I have no affiliation with this auction or seller.

Looks like a 400 or a 500C, no telling what the speakers are but I would venture Jensens or Utahs at worse. Barsilay made great cabinets meant to go with Danish Modern in Black Walnut. If this can be had for $200 it would be a steal if the cabinet is in good shape. I know we have a couple of members down there in Orange County.

Can't be a 400...too many knobs. Need a sharper picture, or a visit!, to tell any more.

500C.......8 knobs, earphone jack center bottom, 2 sets of 2 switches 2 sets of 3 knobs (all this across the bottom) 1 knob each side of glass. It must be a 500C, maybe an 800, which had AM. That pic really makes it hard to tell for sure. It ought to be clean and maybe with original tubes in that console. That would be 6 Telefunken 12AX7s and 3 Mullard 12AX7s, no recifier assort tuning tubes some of which are bound to be bad.
Mystery Technics TT. Not bad at all.

I emailed him just now with the third degree.
I'll post the reply as soon as I get it..

Well, don't get this guy in an uproar...when he finds out what he has he might want to end the auction, and re-start with a higher reserve!:)

Well it all fell through anyway...
The reserve was not met, and I sent an E-mail to the seller to see if they were still interested in selling the equipment.
The seller was looking to get $700.00!
Not a "Deal" at that price:rolleyes:
