I was just given an adcom gcd-600 because it needed minor repairs
its a 5 disc changer from about 5 years ago. it has a few minor issues.
1) the belt for the tray open close mechanism is a little loose, so it slips on occasion. easy fix IMO
2)the little wire for the sensor that detects discs has a broken connector. this i carefully soldered to the pins on the connector, and now functions fine.
it sounds pretty good, definately better than my 20 year old NAD5320, and it has all the features one looks for in a good changer, although i dislike changers.
apparently it sold for 700$ CAD when new.
it has not bad specs.
frequency response 20hz-20khz
THD 0.005%
sampling at 176.4khz
16 bit linear bitrate
anyone here have this machine that would like to share impressions? i dont have much experience with Adcom gear.
