Sansui QRX-7001 Quad Receiver

customer brought in a quad receiver sansui qrx-7001,does anyone have any idea what is causing it to crackle and pop,triggering the relay,when its not doing it the audio is fine but when it starts acting up i have to shut it down for fear it might blow one of my speakers,i checked the dc offset and its within normal specs,thanks

You edited the post due to caps, and I suggest that's whats wrong with the Sansui....look at the driver board and examine any of the capacitors for swelling, or leakage, good time to clean the switches and pots as well.

thanks we all know that caps are the number 1 reason for promblems in all electronic pieces regardless of age,ill start with replacing some caps and go from there ,with caps at only 10 cents a piece it wouldnt hurt to just go ahead and change them out:thmbsp:

Better start counting, there's plenty of them in there to replace.
