As mentioned in another thread I just picked up a few TTs including a Thorens TD 166 that is becoming a project deck. I'm starting to get to inspection now and it actually seems pretty straight forward. The main problem it has is power. It's currently powered by a 16V DC transformer and the one being used is not original. After opening the base of the table I see there's been a fair amount of home-brew soldering going on. There are a few cold / broken joints too.
Looks like a simple circuit, but I can't diagnose it - nor can I make sense of the wiring diagram I have. The manual I found on Vinyl Engine references a 110V conversion. I'd like to do this but, again, I'm not able to interpret the diagram on the instructions and going from the current DC to AC is kinda scary if I'm not sure - don't want to fry the motor.
Anyone done this before that could guide me? I'm attaching the diagram in hopes that someone can tell me what to get and put where. I'm a capable solderer once I'm confident of what needs to end up where.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
