If this has been discussed before, I apologize for bringing it back up again, but having been here for several months AK has become a daily haunt for me. In that time I have learned a great deal, and I hope to learn a great deal more in the near future.

Looking through the forums (this one in particular), I find there are quite a few musicians here at AK. I see lots of guitars and guitar-related posts here in the Musical Instruments section. But I'm curious as to how many of us create our own stuff--write it, play in a band, etc.--and record it. There are places musicians can go online to place their music up for public listening/comments. So I was wondering where people stand on creating a new place here on AK--either a new forum entirely, or a child forum in another section--where AK'ers can post links to their pages on various music hosting sites. Then fellow AK'ers can get a chance to hear each others' music and comment on it.

What do you all think?

If it is your creation, and you want to share, the place to do that would be the Music Forum. I think a few members already do that occasionally.

Linking to copyrighted material, or "covers" of material you did not compose, will probably get you banned pretty quick. :smoke: Just sayin'.

Yeah, I figured there would be some legal hoops involved. Just a thought, really. I'll keep what you said in mind if I ever do want to share something. Thanks for the reply.

EDIT - I answered my own questions with some research. No, that would not be an allowable link, Freddie.
