A good piece of gear, That I can vouch works. Had a transformer on the pole start surging one night, It shut down my gear just before all hell broke loose. As for the filtering, Video improved, Audio, Can't tell. If the machine goes into alarm mode, It's done its job, But is "Dead". Monster has a buy back program, Give'm your old unit, They replace it for $75, Even if it's the newest/latest release. Not bad. terryfox3 04-06-2008, 08:56 AM I have one.It works great for audio and video.I got it primarily for audio.A very audible improvement clydeselsor 04-06-2008, 12:01 PM Audio is what I will use it for if I get one, but I haven't decided yet. outshined 04-06-2008, 12:27 PM Why not invest your money in a device that will never fail? http://www.brickwall.com/ clydeselsor 04-06-2008, 02:29 PM Why not invest your money in a device that will never fail? http://www.brickwall.com/ Well, that's definitely worth considering. The prices seem reasonable. Do you have one of these? How do you like it? Did you notice a difference in sound? RichPA 04-06-2008, 02:41 PM I have three of the Brickwall filters. I do think they cleaned up the sound, and they handle over-voltage situations much more gracefully than most. Not very expensive, at least by high-end audio standards, either. outshined 04-06-2008, 07:27 PM Well, that's definitely worth considering. The prices seem reasonable. Do you have one of these? How do you like it? Did you notice a difference in sound? I have 4. Two RMAUD, 2 outlet. Two RM10AUD. I use the 2 outlet ones for my SAE 2600 and Ampzillas. The other two for A/V. I hear no diff in sound, but rely on the protection instead. |
