Thought I'd share this with you guys. The ad has been placed several times on the local CL, but as you can imagine, there is a very small market for this stuff. Neat stuff, I think! I have edited out the financial/contact details, to avoid angering the moderators!

Just a little about the collection.

This is the only collection like it in the country. Fred is the designer, builder and owner of this great collection.

Fred’s collection of half scale equipment has won several top prize awards and recently took first in the category of “Peoples Choice” at the New York Yacht Club in Newport, RI. Recently featured on Chronicle. Fred’s work is museum quality. He’s a real artist.

Eighty five percent of all equipment is made from wood.

Fred’s work has been featured in Toy Trucker, four issues.

Items in collection consists of:

*-Peterbilt 379 tractor air ride with a Yanmar 26hp diesel engine

*-Hill 26’ trailer with swing gate and show cover

*-Rogers low bed heavy equipment trailer, triple axles, with hydraulic gooseneck and air ride

*-Caterpillar D8R dozer

*-Caterpillar 345C L excavator

*Caterpillar 980 H front end loader, remote control

All of the above equipment is half scale.

Collection includes two 38' transportation trailers, thriple axle. One enclosed one open.

The collection has recently gone on the market.

HOW could he bear to part w/it ?!? Could many of US part w/our collections that we've put so much blood, sweat, & tears into ? I guess I could if I absolutely, positively HAD to, but It would hurt...Wanna see a grown man cry ?!?

Ummm, I just don't get it. Why? I know I know, people say the same thing to me when I show them pics of my bedroom system as if it were someone's kids. Whatever..

Half scale is a bit unusual.

Too big to be portable and two small to actually drive.

WAYYY too much time on his hands. Excuse me while I go back to auditioning power cords.

We have a real Cat 345 excavator at work and it is frecikin HUGE (course we also have a CAT 375 excavator up at or gravel pit and it's MONDO Freckin HUGE)

That stuff is cool.

There is a Truck museum here in Brooks Oregon and one of the toys they have is a Cab over Perterbuilt tractor that is about 3/4 scale built it is all metal and is road driven it's about the size of an Econoline pickup.
