I have already been corresponding with him. Price is a bit steep for s local sale but we are working on it.

Seller replied someone else was coming by tonight (maybe lastplace?). if so, good luck as I don't need it anyway. He had it worked on by Audio Classics recently. Not sure what was done but looks decent. No cage, manual.etc.

Not me, just took the family to NYC for spring break. I'm broke :sigh:
BTW Barry, how you like the NS-1000's?

I liked them but now Eric J Clark has them in his collection. I have way too much and he had expressed an interest so they are gone.
Sorry it's not you on the 240 as I was hoping someone I knew may get it. Still trying to get retail on it and I am sure whomever is going over will try and bargain the price down quite a bit. The seller does know what he has but asking a little too much IMHO for a locals sale. He'll probably get close to it though.
Take care,
B

For that price one could just-about have a reconditioned Manley/DeWick MC240 from McIntosh Audio (and an AK Sponsor :naughty: ).
That's what I did about a year ago...and my "Good+" is WAY better than "Good+" (crappy photo doesn't do it justice).

Agreed!
He did tell me however that another great sponsor of this site, Audio Classics) had done some reconditioning so I will assume everything should be good to go.
