Any idea what the heck this is? I found it with some First Nations carvings but really can't figure out what it is.

Maybe someone added the hooks to hang it from
somewhere,The rail of a boat maybe.
My 1st impression is,it has clubbed a few halibut
after the were brought aboard the boat~?

IF it is hollow through the middle, it is a pipe stem. It would have had a fired clay bowl attached to (well, stuck into and possibly wrapped, perhaps with resin to help hold it) the wide end, and the small carved bit at the smaller end is the mouthpiece. A rare and precious find, if that is what it is. Sure looks like one.

I'm thinking it's a pestle. I saw a Mexican one similar to that years ago.
