Hello there!

This site is gorgeous! A universe!

I got some receivers, not a lot but one of them is a 1958 Harman Kardon TA-230 Stereo Festival Receiver so I think I am right here.

Hope my English is good enough to participate and contribute here from time to time.

Bye,
Christoph

If you get stuck with the English, we also have a few members fluent in German that could probably lend a helping hand.

Thanks for this advise, I am a sensational small talker, even in English, but will I cope with my English when it comes to describe detailed technical issues?

I fear not, ooooh!!!

Love, Peace & Sansui :D

Welcome to AK!

My family and I flew over the Black Forrest on our "European Vacation". It looked absolutely georgous. Still paying for the "once in a life time trip" but it was worth it.

I don't want a Porsche, either, but a clean split window Beetle, or an early '50s Transporter...Now, you're talkin' ! (grin)

Due to the split window, in Germany we call that model "Brezelkäfer", that is in English "Prezel beetle"...!

I have only seen ONE split-window Beetle in the wild here in the States..It was in Greensboro, North Carolina, in 1970, & it was in the process of being covered up w/Kudzu...They are rare as hen's teeth...IIRC, they stopped making the split-window Beetles in 1952. The "small" rear window that followed it lasted til '56 or '57, I think.
