Hey all,
I have a 2270 powering a pair of New Large Advents. At lower volumes the left channel will cut out and/or produce some static. This will clear if I turn the volume up and back, but returns sporadically. I've cleaned the volume pots as best I can with de-ox-it, but it doesn't seem to help. The receiver is stock as far as I can tell and plays flawlessly at higher volumes. Is this a common problem? I've been thinking that it is the volume control, but am starting to suspect that something else is wrong (bad caps?). Are there any checks that I can perform? I am not too experienced, but I'm armed with a multimeter and a willingness to tackle this myself. If it goes over my head there is a good shop here that I can take it to.
Any advice appreciated.
