I saw these too, and was wondering the same thing - but several of the cabinets are well past their prime. You could probably make a couple of good pairs from the lot though.

They seem to use a rather large paper-coned tweeter which is weird. I wonder if they were designed to be used with a seperate super-tweeter, or maybe that the hole/port at the top was originally home to a tweeter. There's no screw holes though

I don't immidiatly recognise the drivers though - I'm sure that the speaker experts here will probably ID it from the smell alone. :D The bass one does look vaguely Celestion or Rogers, and the mid/tweeters are very similar to a pair of Goodmans Quartets I have.
