Got my house smelling like exhaust.. and me...
Had the bike sitting up for about 5 months now. Hadn't even started it in that time....
Went out in the garage, Put the key in, turned it on, COOL.. lights.. but knew it wasn't going to hold that.
Put it on the charger for about an hour. Just went out, and even after sitting with that gas, it fired right up!!!! Let it run a few, twised the throttle a bit, and DAMN.. what a grin.. Not bad for a 5 year old battery... better still break down for a new one I guess...
Thinking about going out and putting fan in front of it while I sit on it and twist the throttle a bit. Feel like I'm out on the road.
I would go for a ride, but the inspection sticker is expired, and KNOWING MY LUCK.... plus it will take a bit to get bundled up, and I want to be by the phone for my wife...
Eh.. I had my thrill at least
Can't wait to get it on the road!!! Hopefully next weekend.. I have a feeling I won't be around untill then..

Do to having to pay doctors, I had to sell my well loved 84 700 Shadow a couple years ago. I miss that bike something awafull, it was still mint the day I had to sell it. I still kept the atv's though and had our first real ride of the year last weekend. It was like 70's outside and cloudy, in my case, cloudy days are the time to play :)

Sorry to hear you had to sell your bike.. I know I couldn't deal without mine. Some times I got to go get on it and get me some psychotherapy.

Got my bikes inspected last week, and road a good bit this weekend...definite therapy.
Swapped bikes a bit, so I got time on four bikes- Honda Hawk GT/CB750/Shadow 750 and a BMW 1200. Nice.

Maybe this year I can get down your way and we can get some road time together hopefully.
Wee keep talking about a second bike.. a Wing sure seems comfy for some of those long trips.

Yeah, but the Wing has such good aeros that you never get the wind in your face! The BMW I rode on Saturday (with an after-market windscreen) had a similar issue, it was ~65 degrees on top of a mountain range, and uncomfortably hot riding the BMW. Probably really nice in the Winter, though, and obviously clothing can help.
These days we keep the Hawk GT for solo & sport, the Nighthawk with large windscreen for Winter and with flyscreen for most longer or two-up trips. Missing my dual-sport, though, lots of roads nearby turn to gravel.
C'mon down, I've been thinking of you lately while putzing around with an Altec 1270 amp. With any luck I can make it to your re-scheduled get-together, and bring some racks of Urei/Crown/Yamaha/Altec/etc. power amps. Will there be any chiropractors attending? :o
