Well my buddy Stewey (a regular around here) got me sucked into all this vintage stuff and after much searching I've nailed down two units and already have the girlfriend telling me that I'm not allowed to buy anymore. However, she does like the way they look (she asked me if I was replacing my all in one ht unit in the living room with it), so maybe I can sneek a couple more into the house on a "it looks prettier than the old one" basis. As a 23 yr old I'm more accustomed to the new super processed sounds and these machines are just unreal. Power, power and more power. I stole an SA-7500 II from a local repair shop for 40 canuck bucks and it just needed some TLC. Just amazed at the sound. Stewey is now trying to get me to buy a DD/DTS processor. I'm holding off for now, but if I can keep finding deals, I'll be more inclined. I also grabbed a sx-535 first because I liked the tuner. I know it's amongst the commoner, low class, but it looks nice and was only $35 with a set of speakers. Just some lights out typical for the age, but that's it. BTW the speakers are a wild card. On the back they are called DB100's and they were built in Canada. Anyone have any more info on them it would be greatly appreciated. Just wanted to put in my 2 cents. Stewey see ya on saturday, we're going vintage huntin'!!!
