Alright then just picked up an Intek and what I've read leads me to believe that this was a controversial integrated. I have a 506 serial number which I believe means it's one of the later ones. It did not come with a power cord...anyone know what gauge the stock one is. Also anyone know what interconnects sound best with this unit.
It's replaced an Aura amp in my office system (Aura sounded great but had build quality issues). First impressions were that it sounded a bit grey. I've been changing out IC's and power cords and arrived at the best sound I seem to be able to get with my stuff (which is pretty good). I'm using my vdH D102 mkII's and my Rega Mira 3's stock 18 ga power cord.
Anyone have experience with Linn Black IC's and their speaker cable?

Sharp looking.
Very "Linn" looking also.
Hows it sound?

So far I'm a bit disappointed...not sure what I was expecting. It has a rather unclear sound...sort of like looking at an impressionist painting. Any idea if this is how it should be or is there a tweak that might improve it.

I haven't heard many good things about this amp, unfortunately :(, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't like it. My linn tonearm and cartridge are good that I have now. I hear this amp was a bit of a misstep for Linn, or something like that (I think I may have read this on audioasylum?).

I'm having a hard time listening to it. I emailed the dealer that I got it from and told him that it isn't makin' it.

Do you know what you may replace it with?

No idea....have to wait for something to come along at a reasonable price...hopefully a late model Rotel or a Rega Brio...have to have a phono stage.
