Well, if there's anything I can do to lend a hand btw now and then, let me know. As we discussed, I only live about 5 minutes from the hotel, so take advantage of that if you need to.

How is the construction going around there Mike?

It shouldn't be too bad when folks start arriving for the Fest if they come over on Saturday. The Friday night arrivals will need to be patient a bit with the pace of traffic through the construction area.

The good news is that the I-275 ramp closures shouldn't hamper folks coming in from the airport too much. I believe that the Northbound I-275 ramp to Eastbound 7 mile will remain open.

Folks coming in from the west or from the north off I-96 or I-696 can avoid the construction by exiting Southbound I-275 at 8 Mile Rd, then go east on 8 Mile to Victor Parkway (note, there's no traffic light at Victor Parkway and 8 Mile, you have to watch for the street to come up about 1/2 - 3/4 of a mile east of 8 Mile and I-275). Then go south or Victor Parkway to the Embassy Suites.

If you are coming in from the airport and have no patience for construction, you can skip the 7 Mile exit all together, go north a bit further to the 8 Mile exit, and turn right (east) on 8 mile. Follow the directions above to Victor Parkway, and then to the hotel.

Thanks for posting that Whell. Good information as I am coming in from the west. Looks like it's the 8 mile exit for me.

Cheers
