K-502 bass

I'm am very pleased with the sound of the K-502 amp that I just completed but......
I built the amp without any mods and the mid and high tones are quite good. however, I find the bass response a little less than I like. Can anyone suggest any SIMPLE mods that would pick up the bass some?

1) what speakers are you using?

2) changing the coupling caps to something even a little better (e.g., Orange Drops or Illinois caps) would probably help.

3) upgrading the output transformers would be easy and not necessarily expensive. Even Hammond PP iron would be a considerable step up, I'd opine.
