Good Morning,
I have a Eico tube tuner, HFT-90 which is not working, so I opened it up and see that one of the tubes is missing. It's a 6X4WA tube? Could this be the problem?
I ordered a tube , waiting for it to show up.
Thanks,
John.:music:

That's the rectifier for the power supply; it's pretty important. :-)

Hello,
The 6x4wa is the military version of the 6x4. It is fine, but no need to pay
extra money for the wa suffix. Maybe it was removed only because
someone needed it elsewhere, but it might also have been damaged by
shorted filter capacitors. Be careful when attempting to run this tuner with
the new tube. Good luck.

Thanks for the replies. I will hook up to the Variac and startup slow. Once tube arrives. That was the only tube I could find. $9.95 + ship.
John.
