On a recent visit to the International Space Station, Japanese astronaut Takao Doi brought paper boomerangs with him. They were given to him by world boomerang champion Yashuhiro Togai, who wondered whether the flying objects would work in low gravity. Turns out they worked perfectly. The Japan Aereospace Exploration Agency just posted the video.

Interesting stuff.

Not surprising.. air is air, and aerodynamics still work the same.. with or without gravity... now if they tossed one inside a vacuum, such as outside the station, then I would expect it not to work...

True: air is air. Normally lift is used to overcome gravitational attraction. The aerodynamics don't change, but without gravity who needs lift?
