My Eico HF-81, which was rebuilt by NOS Valves  has an unusual manifestation when playing vinyl. The turntable is a Music Hall MMF-5 with an Ortofon Super 30. The speakers are Fostex FE206E's int the Fostex spec BLH's. The left channel has a great degree of cone excursion as compared with the right.
This humble integrated amplifier, which Craig has elevated to rock-star status in our house when used with the aux inputs and digital sources, has no rumble or scratch filters.
I know the HF-81's phono section is not known as a giant killer to begin with, but it does play a part in our systems, and this bothers me a bit.
Some facts:
The left speaker is rather closer to the TT.
Swapping the TT inputs doesn't change things.
Anyone got an idea?
